Mark Prophet

Mark L. Prophet (1918-1973) was a mystic, a Messenger for the ascended masters and the late husband of Elizabeth Clare Prophet. When Mark was about 17, he was contacted by the Ascended Master El Morya. Because of his fundamentalist Christian upbringing, Mark sent the master away. Years later, Mark decided to pursue El Morya and the master resumed his contact with him.

Between 1952 and 1958 Mark wrote down a series of letters from El Morya called Ashram Notes. These letters contain profound teaching and a series of rituals designed to help people raise their consciousness and reduce suffering throughout the world.

In 1958, Mark founded The Summit Lighthouse under El Morya's direction to publish the teachings of the ascended masters. He soon began publishing a weekly newsletter from the ascended masters called Pearls of Wisdom, which are still published today.

In 1961, Mark met Elizabeth Clare Wulf. Through Mark, El Morya began training her to be a Messenger. They were married in 1963 and had four children.

The legacy of Mark Prophet's work is vast. He worked tirelessly to publish the teachings of the Ascended Masters and to lay the foundation for the continuation of this work by his wife. Starting in 1960, he held quarterly conferences to give messages, called dictations, from the Ascended Masters and to explain their teachings. In 1961, he founded the Keepers of the Flame Fraternity under the direction of the Ascended Master Saint Germain.

Between 1958 and 1973, Mark L. Prophet gave more than 1,000 dictations from various Ascended Masters, archangels and other advanced spiritual beings.

On February 26, 1973, Mark Prophet died of a stroke. He reunited with God in the ritual of the ascension and is now known as the Ascended Master Lanello.
